Meet Collin Hester!

I was hired this year as the College Readiness/ASPIRE (mentoring program) Coordinator at Crook County High School. I meet with students to find out their passions, skills, and interests and help them develop a plan to meet their goals after high school. I provide assistance with college searches (including vocational/trade schools and the military) and applications, financial aid, scholarships, ACT and SAT test registration, and exploring career options. I really enjoy helping students discover and follow the path that is right for them beyond high school.

Prior to entering the field of education, I served in the Coast Guard for 10 years. I used the GI Bill to further my education and recently received a Master of Counseling degree from OSU-Cascades.

Like many who live here, I love exploring the vast hiking and mountain bike trails that Central Oregon has to offer.
