Teen girl with key

Here’s a fact: a teen’s first year driving is considered one of the most dangerous years of their life. Motor vehicle crashes remain the number one cause of death for US teens.

In a few limited cities Toyota offers a FREE Teen Driver Safety Clinic for teens and their parents. We lobbied hard for this and after reviewing at our involvement with local schools we were able to steal a great event that was headed to Seattle. There will only be two of these events taking place in the North West Region for the entire year.

Toyota USA and Toyota-Scion of Bend will be co-hosting a drivers clinic at our dealership April 26th. This 2.5-hour interactive, non-driving session provides both pre-driver and new-driver teens, as well as their parents, a beyond-basics approach to road safety. It includes car care, road side maintenance, how to handle emergency situations, coaching techniques and other practical tools. The event will be in a safe, non-sales environment. Parents and teens will participate in hands-on activities in class and around the car to promote safe driving behavior. We are looking for pre-drivers and new-drivers between 14-16 years of age.

The class will be limited to no more then 120 participants so it will fill up fast. Toyota reps will be flying in the 1st of April to finalize everything and will be announcing the program April 2nd. I wanted to give you guys and others you feel would best benefit from this program an opportunity to preregister before it fill ups. Feel free to forward this email to whoever you so choose.
