GRADUATION CREDIT REQUIREMENTS

**Reading and Math Essential Skills can be met by minimum scores on the following test options: SBAC, ACT, PLAN, Work Keys, Compass, ASSET, SAT or PSAT. Essential Skill requirements may also be met using work samples scored with the official state scoring guides.
Valedictorian/Salutatorian
- The valedictorian will be the student with the highest weighted cumulative GPA rounded to the nearest hundredth as computed at the end of the first semester of the senior year.
- The salutatorian will be the student with the second highest weighted cumulative GPA rounded to the nearest hundredth as computed at the end of the first semester of the senior year.
- In case of a tie for valedictorian, co-valedictorians will be honored.
- In case of a tie for salutatorian, co-salutatorians will be honored.
- Foreign exchange students will not be considered in computing class rank.
- Students must be continuously enrolled at CCHS prior to and continuously following the tenth school day of the student’s senior year.
Top 10% –is figured by students accumulating points for every grade earned from 9th grade through the first semester of their 12 grade year. A’s earn 4 points, B’s earn 3 points, C’s earn 2 points, and D’s earn 1 point. Advanced placement (AP) courses are graded on a 5 point scale.
Early Graduates: Any student intending on graduating a year early must meet with their guidance counselor. Meeting with counselor and early graduation approved no later than October 1.

Oregon University System Colleges and Accredited Community Colleges Formula:
A 3 or 4 college credit class = .5 high school credit
A 5 or 6 college credit class = 1.0 high school credit
