About TRI County High School Rodeo Club:
High School Rodeo was created to give high school students the opportunity to participate and compete in
this unique sport. In 1949 Claude Mullins, and educator and rodeo contestant, founded the National High
School Rodeo Association (NHSRA). It is now one of the fastest growing youth organizations in the nation,
with over 13,000 members. Local student members are also members of the Oregon High School Rodeo
Association (OHSRA), as well as the national association. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the
development of sportsmanship, horsemanship and character of the youth in our communities.
We require high academic standards in order to compete as well as responsibility, dedication and
commitment. With the support of their families, the community and our club, we help these athlete gain the
resources to participate in this sport.
