At CCHS we are committed to preparing students for their next step in life, whether that is college or a career. We want to equip our students with what they need to succeed. As part of these efforts we have designed the CCHS Pathways Initiative where every student picks a pathway to pursue in high school. This allows them to graduate with certifications and accomplishments to improve their employability and post-secondary success.

Pathway - Core Transfer Map
This is a living document that will be updated as our pathway accomplishments and certification expand.
Oregon Promise covers up to 12-credits per term totaling 90-credits of community college for recent high school graduates and GED recipients attending Oregon community colleges, transferring these credits to a community college will decrease the Oregon Promise award. Pell Grant and other forms of financial aid may be impacted by the amount of college credit accrued in high school.
The Core Transfer Maps are broad descriptions of course requirements for students at any Oregon community college or public university. Students who have not yet declared a major and plan to transfer may take classes that fit these categories at any Oregon community college and expect all classes to transfer and meet at least 30 credits of general education requirements for a bachelor’s degree at any Oregon public university. Note that many majors have specific course requirements for categories within the Core Transfer Maps. The Core Transfer Maps are intended as starting points for students who plan to transfer to a university, but are unsure of their intended major or transfer destination. Students who are certain of their major, but not their transfer destination, should determine if there is a developed Major Transfer Map for their chosen discipline, and follow that as a guide. Instructions for CCHS Students
1. Apply for admission to COCC (cocc.edu). If you have never taken a class at a COCC
campus, you will need to apply. If you have taken a class at a COCC campus in the past,
you will need to reapply. Make sure your application reflects that you are a degree-
seeking student. Do not apply using your school district email account, use your personal
email account.
2. Activate your account. Information about this step will arrive in your personal email
account.
3. View the Bobcat Welcome video. This is a link to a 30-45 minute video that will be
emailed to your personal email account.
4. Provide placement information. If you have college-level writing and/or math credits,
indicate that information on the placement assessment.
5. Meet with an academic advisor and view your GradTracks program to review your
progress toward completion status.
6. Submit official transcripts (make sure you are requesting official transcripts and not
unofficial transcripts)
Official transcripts must be requested from each transfer institution where you received
credits. You do not need to request transcripts from COCC.
There are several ways to have your transcripts delivered:
Electronic Delivery: This is the fastest delivery method. Many colleges use National
Student Clearinghouse (online) for this service – check with your transfer institution for
more information. Most institutions charge a fee for official transcripts. If your institution
requires an email address for delivery, use transcripts@cocc.edu.
By Mail: Have your transcripts sent directly to:

Hand-delivery: We only accept official transcripts in the original sealed envelope from
the institution. If you have your transcripts delivered to your home, do not open the
envelope.
